How fast will
BalonyGard solve my bird problem?
It will work right away, but the birds will continue
to come back and test the area to see if it is as pleasant as before.
After a few days they will decide that they do no like your place anymore.
So, you must keep the BalconyGard active and in place to deter any new
comers to the area. The
ultrasonic irritation is not like throwing a rock at the bird.
It will take a few minutes for the bird to decide that it does not
like the irritation and anxiety it is experiencing near the protected
area.
How must area
will the BalconyGard cover?
It will detect motion in an area that is oval shaped
about 35 feet wide and 70 feet out from the unit.
However, we have learned that about 900 sq. feet is a realistic
expectation.
Will the
BalconyGard be the only device I will need to get rid of the birds?
Generally the BalconyGard will solve the problem, but
the more process you can apply to the problem the more complete the
solution. We sell a little
mobile type hanging that have holographic eyes on it that spook the birds
by making them think they see
the eyes of some big monster predator.
You can also hang streamers that will flap in the wind to help
scare them. Anytime you use
multiple methods the result will be more complete.
Is the
BalconyGard really silent?
The BalconyGard frequency setting has a wide range of
settings. From a very loud audible sound that humans can hear to super
high silent frequency that only insects and bats can hear. The best setting for birds is as close to audible a possible,
but still in the silent range so you do not have to hear the noise.
It should be turned off while you are enjoying your patio.
Will the
ultrasound harm my dog or cat?
The sound emitted by the BalconyGard will not harm
your dog or cat, but it will irritate them.
You should turn the unit off if the pet is going to be on or near
the protected area. The
ultrasound does not pass through barriers like walls or glass.
If you pet is in the house with doors and windows closed the sound
would not be loud enough to harm or bother your pet.
How much does
it cost to operate the BalconyGard?
The cost would be less that 25 cents per month.
Can the
BalconyGard be set to always on?
Yes, it can be set to always on or infrared sensor
activation if it is plugged in with the AC adapter. If you wish to run it on four of the “C” size batteries

protected area.
Can the
BalconyGard be operated on batteries?

batteries , but only if set to infrared activation mode.
Meaning it will activate only when it detect something in the

area the birds will not be bothered.
